01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

The lean 30-second kalbi is grilled on one side for 30 seconds, wrapped in grated daikon and ponzu, and eaten without dipping sauce. One diner described the thinly sliced beef as intensely savoury and so tender it seemed to melt away. It is a dish to enjoy by following the suggested grilling and serving method.

For a change of pace after yakiniku, there are three cold noodle options, each with its own character. The classic version is promoted for its carefully prepared broth; the grated-yam noodles are recommended for yam lovers, while the plum noodles pair plum with refreshing shiso leaves. Some diners return especially for the cold noodles, and another praised the flavourful broth and pleasantly chewy noodles.

At lunchtime, the Japanese beef tendon rice bowl is another option alongside the set meals. One diner described the tendon as tender after simmering in a sweet-and-savoury sauce, with kimchi and spring onion adding a little contrast. The skirt steak set meal comes with kimchi or cabbage and soup; a loin set meal is also listed. The menu suits both a lunch focused on one cut of meat and a shared meal of yakiniku and offal.

For groups, the menu also includes courses with an all-you-can-drink option for 2 hours, featuring combinations such as green onion salt tongue, skirt steak and offal, with kimchi and Iga Koshihikari rice.
